Recently a new version of this sample taker has been introduced to the market. This new execution allows full CIP as well as SIP just by a simple click on the back of the handle. Different positions of the plunger enable cleaning fluid and steam to flow through the relevant parts of the sample taker, thus ensuring that all contamination is eliminated.
Of course this new version of the sample taker still possesses all unique features of the previous designs:
- Full vacuum and pressure rated up to 3 barg.
- Process temperatures up to 200oC.
- Easy assembling and disassembling.
- FDA approved construction materials
- All product contacting parts Ra<0,2 mu, made of 1.4404
Various flow positions are possible:
Position A: Sample taker in Sample or CIP mode, base position.
Position B: Sample taker in Sample mode, sample flows into the sample container
Position C: Sample taker in CIP mode, cleaning fluids can flow through both the sampling area as well as the back side of the plunger, cleaning all product contaminated parts of the sample taker.
Position D: Sample taker in CIP mode, plunger moving forward, for cleaning of the second seal of the plunger.
After cleaning and/or sterilization the sample is returned into its base position allowing for sample taking.
During development of the new sample taker it was taken into account that the sample taker is fully compatible with Hosokawa’s previous designs in order to allow easy exchange.
