Working Principle

The Hosokawa Denspack is designed by Hosokawa Micron for continuous deaeration of powders. As a design basis we took the proven technology of the rotary airlock.

The Hosokawa Micron Denspack™ has demonstrated efficient densification of solids in various industries. It is a low cost method of improving material packing efficiency and reducing container volume where space is a concern.

Powder flows into the pocket of the Denspack by both gravity and vacuum. The rotor base is made of a sintered metal filter and divided into 6 separated pockets. The pockets in charging position between "7 and 1 o’clock" are put under vacuum. Product in these pockets will be de-aerated thoroughly; the entrapped air between the particles will be removed. The product in the pocket in discharge position will be released with a small amount of air or inert gas pulse. This pulse also prevents the metal filter from clogging. A stable de-aeration process is maintained continuously.

Capacity:
Depending on product characteristics, texture and particle size a wide variety of products can be de-aerated or densified. The Denspack™ is able to reach a capacity up to 25 m3/h.

Main features of the Hosokawa Denspack
