Working Principle

The CYCLOMIX® is a new revolutionary high speed intensive mixer applying high shear and impact forces to the powders enabling to efficient mixing of many powders, pastes and liquids with different characteristics.

The mixing vessel is conical shaped and has a central rotor which rotates at a speed up to 30 m/s.
The speed of the rotor creates centrifugal forces and pushes the product to the vessel wall. The shape of the vessel causes an upwards movement of the product. The cover part guides the products towards the centre of the mixer.

  • High energy input

  • High degree of dispersion and homogeneity

  • Ultra short cycle time

  • Shear forces between rotor
    and vessel breaking up
    agglomerates
    Impact forces cutting the
    structure of cohesive powders

Drying under Vacuum & temperature control
In adapted configuration the Cyclomix can also be applied as a Vacuum Dryer.

For temperature sensitive products it is used as low temperature contact dryer so it is of vital importance to control the product temperature.
The Cyclomix vacuum dryer is a contact dryer. Heat energy is basically transferred into the product through the jacketed vessel wall causing solvents or residual moisture to evaporate.

The Cyclomix guarantees you an optimal temperature control and transport of product "between the rotor tip and the vessel wall".

The jacketed vessel, cover and outlet valve enable you to control and manipulate your product temperature in the most accurate way.

The Cyclomix is the best choice for intensive mixing with added feature of drying under vacuum of heat sensitive products.
