HIGH IMPACT MIXER

The Flexomix high impact mixer is a unique continuous vertical mixer and agglomerator, designed to achieve a highly homogeneous mixture of powders and liquids. With its vertical cylindrical chamber and vertical rotating shaft, it is unlike any other continuous mixer. Its high rotation speed and turbulent mixing keep the mixing chamber clean; it offers accurate dosing of both liquid and solid components and is suitable for even the stickiest of media.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

The Flexomix high impact mixer uses strictly controlled mixing conditions to achieve optimal product properties and maximum efficiency. Multiple pitch-adjustable knives are attached to the vertical rotating shaft, which rotates at high speed to create a highly turbulent air flow inside the vertical chamber.

Powders and liquids can be fed into the unit through the top inlet(s), with agitation causing a spiral flow and high collision rates in the suspension. Liquids of varying viscosities and steam can be added using atomizing nozzles mounted to the upper part of the chamber just above the upper mixing blades.

This combination makes the Flexomix high impact mixer ideal for mixing powders with powders, liquids with powders, ands well as wet agglomeration for forming porous granules.

    • Addition of cross-linking agents to Super Absorbent Polymers (SAP)
